#002: You Need to Be Thinkin' Big
Project #003: Expand What's Possible Through Creative Learning Blocks
Over the past year, I’ve discovered that faith isn’t just about waiting for life to fall into place—it’s about actively participating in the unfolding of your own life. It’s about building new realities through choice, creativity, and community, and expanding your mind by learning, doing, and integrating those experiences. That’s what my projects have been about—dedicating myself to learning something new for fun, just because it lights me up, and channeling that knowledge into a creative expression as a way to integrate it.
What I’ve found along the way is that learning creatively doesn’t just solve blocks—it teaches you how to slow down, observe, and ask yourself: How does this feel? When you engage with something that excites you, you create a new baseline. You start noticing those sparks of inspiration when they appear, and you begin imagining how those sparks could fit into your life. Suddenly, you’re deep in rabbit holes of ideas and possibilities that once felt beyond reach.
Each time I’ve followed those sparks, I’ve created things I never imagined possible. But with every light comes its shadow—doubts creep in, fears bubble up, and insecurities whisper in your ear. That’s when I’ve learned to turn back to creativity. It’s not enough to journal or write out my thoughts—it’s essential, yes, but the real breakthroughs come when I transmute those emotions into something meaningful.
For me, that process starts by getting still—sometimes through meditation—long enough to make sense of what I’m feeling. Then, I write it all out to get to the root of it, playing music to let my mind wander freely, letting the pen glide across the page until I reach that aha moment. But the magic really happens when I move—when I let my creativity take over. I celebrate those moments of clarity through play: I dance in my room, make music, create with my hands, or just sing out loud. I turn that pain and confusion into something birthed from love.
And every time I do, I make more space within myself. I feel lighter, freer, and more capable of things I never thought I could do. Creativity has become my way of moving through fear, transforming doubt into possibility.
That’s the most beautiful part of this whole rollercoaster—the unpredictability of it. Each time I dive into this process, I come back loving myself a little more deeply. I strengthen my relationship with life, rediscover meaning in things I thought were lost, and uncover parts of myself I didn’t even know existed.
That’s what these learning blocks are for—a commitment to never losing sight of the things that make me, me. It’s a promise to never shrink myself to fit someone else’s idea of success, to never let fear or confusion cloud my path and make me coast through life, living for moments that aren’t guaranteed. It’s about constantly expanding my realm of possibility—exploring who I am and what I’m capable of dreaming. And it’s about meeting new parts of myself along the way.
This journey is my way of saying: I refuse to settle for less than what I deserve. I choose to live fully, creatively, and in alignment with my soul. And I hope you do too. Because the more we explore, the more we discover that we were always capable of more than we ever imagined.
