Be Your Own Frequency
RHYTHM: Trusting the Process Through Rhythm
Does the Process Know I’m Trusting It?
…that’s up for debate. But, we’ve We’ve all heard that lovely phrase.
Even, reposted it.
And maybe just said it to ourselves during a tough moment.
But let’s be honest—what does it even mean?
For most of my life, “trust the process” felt like trying to dance to a song with no beat (can i get a beat?!)
I was either rushing ahead, full of urgency and anxiety, or completely frozen, unable to move at all.
And of course, my brain made this even trickier—motivation would come in waves. I’d either ride that wave until burnout or procrastinate until overwhelm swallowed me whole (get me off this ride.)
But what I’ve realized over time is that trusting the process isn’t about waiting for some magical alignment or sticking rigidly to a plan.
It’s about creating your own frequency—a rhythm that feels true to you, one that allows you to move forward with intention, ease, and flow.
Trusting the process isn’t linear.
It’s not a straight path or perfect tempo.
It’s about finding your rhythm and building systems that allow you to stay in sync with your dreams, even when life throws unexpected notes your way.
Step 1: Surrender to the Beat 🎶
The first thing I had to learn was how to let go.
For so long, I was obsessed with controlling every outcome. If I couldn’t see the full map, I wouldn’t even start the journey. I planned my days to the minute, convinced that urgency and hyper-productivity were the only ways to stay on track.
Spoiler alert: they weren’t. bloop.
Surrendering doesn’t mean giving up; it means trusting that the work you’re doing today is enough to guide you forward (THIS)
When I let go of trying to micromanage every step, I started noticing something incredible—tasks that once felt heavy became easier.
Ideas flowed naturally. And I began to trust that even if I couldn’t see the full picture, the brushstrokes I was making each day were creating something beautiful.
Ask yourself:
What are you clinging to right now?
What would happen if you let go and trusted the next step to unfold naturally?
Step 2: Listen to the Tempo 🎵
Your body is the best guide for your rhythm.
For years, I ignored the signals my body was sending me.
Tight shoulders? Push through it.
Racing thoughts? Just work harder.
But ignoring those cues only led to burnout, overwhelm, and a sense of being completely disconnected from myself.
Now, I start my day by tuning in.
Is there tension in my body? Am I feeling grounded, or is my energy scattered? These small check-ins help me identify where I’m out of sync. Sometimes, all it takes is a short walk, a stretch, or even a deep breath to recalibrate and find my rhythm again.
Remember: Your body knows when something is off—listen to it.
Try this:
Pause right now and ask, How does my body feel?
Where is there tension or resistance? What small action can you take to release it?
Step 3: Rewrite the Track 🎧
Here’s the truth: Fixating on a specific outcome is like playing the same song on repeat—it gets old, fast.
For years, I clung to one specific vision of success, convinced that if I didn’t achieve it, I’d failed. But what I didn’t realize was that I was limiting myself. I wasn’t leaving room for life to surprise me, for new opportunities to come in, or for my dreams to evolve.
Trusting the process means trusting the remix. The funky transitions. The unexpected drops.
It’s about allowing your aspirations to shift and grow as you do. Sometimes, the thing you thought you wanted isn’t what you truly desire anymore—and that’s okay.
Ask yourself:
Am I holding onto a vision that no longer serves me?
What would happen if I allowed myself to dream bigger or differently?
Step 4: Navigate Overwhelm with Curiosity 🎤
Urgency is a trap. It disconnects us from the present moment and keeps us locked in fear-based thinking (ruh uh)
I used to live in a constant state of overwhelm, obsessing over everything I needed to do and panicking when it felt like I couldn’t get it all done. But I’ve learned that overwhelm isn’t something to fight—it’s something to observe.
Now, when I feel that familiar pull of urgency, I pause and ask:
What’s triggering this feeling?
How can I come back to the present moment?
Sometimes, it’s as simple as taking a deep breath or stepping away from my to-do list.
Other times, it’s reminding myself that I’ve set up guardrails—daily rituals, small habits, and intentional choices that keep me moving toward my dreams without needing to see the full map.
Step 5: Trust the Remix 🎶
Trusting the process isn’t passive—it’s an active, daily practice of alignment.
Here’s what it looks like for me:
Pulse Check: How do I feel right now? Am I connected to myself, or do I need to pause and recalibrate?
Observe Resistance: Where is there stickiness in my body, mind, or emotions? What can I learn from it?
Release Control: I don’t need to micromanage every detail. I trust that the work I’m doing now will guide me where I need to go.
Zoom Out: Instead of fixating on one outcome, I ask myself: What is the bigger picture? How do I want to feel, move, and live?
Final Note: Trusting Your Own Frequency
The process isn’t about perfection—it’s about alignment.
It’s about finding your rhythm, tuning into your body, and making daily choices that reflect how you want to feel. It’s about surrendering to the unknown, embracing curiosity, and trusting that every small step is part of a bigger picture.
So ask yourself:
What does trusting the process mean to you?
How can you create your own rhythm—your own frequency—that helps you move toward your dreams with ease, joy, and alignment?
Let’s tune in.
Turn Up.
Dance to the beat of our own lives
‘til next time,
